Alleging subsidy scam of poly house owned by Cabinet Minister Amrita Rawat, dozens of BJP activists on Friday burnt effigy of the State Government and also demanded to take stringent action into the matter.
Hundreds BJP activists under the banner of BJYM (GMS road division) under the leadership of Sachin Gupta gathered at Kishannagar Chowk, Dehradun and shouted anti-State Government slogans in support of their pending demands. Urging the State Government to take stringent action against Cabinet Minister Rawat, Sachin Gupta said that the Congress-led State Government has completely failed on all fronts and steps were yet to be taken by the Government for curbing unemployment in the State. He alleged that the Congress government was completely failed to take effective measures for keeping a tab on the corruption in the Government departments. Gupta also demanded from the State Government to introduce concrete measures for redressing the grievances of all those who faced the brunt of natural calamities in last year. Arun Goyal, Neha Gupta, Sumit Pandey, Pradeep Anand, Rajkumar Tiwari, and others were also present.
