A delegation of BJP Ambedkar Mandal met the SSP Dehradun and submitted a memorandum to him, demanding action against unwanted calls and messages being received from unknown numbers by some persons, including women, in the city. Cases related to fake calls regarding bank accounts, debit and credit cards and withdrawal of money through them are increasing day by day, they said.
The protesters alleged that police officials deputed at Cyber cell do not work effectively resulting in people’s concerns are not redressed on time.
Cases related to fraudulent transactions involving withdrawal of money from the bank accounts of customers are on the rise and the police are finding it difficult to solve such cases. Moreover, police officials at Cyber cell do not establish cooperation from the bank officials. Which resulting in the bank officials are not providing relevant information about the cases to the police. In such cases, neither police nor bank officials tend to help the complainants.
However, SSP Pushpak Jyoti assured the BJP members taking steps for improvement in workings of the cyber cell and people’s concerns will be addressed without delay.
BJP members present on the occasion were Harish Narang, Neelam Sehgal, Arun, Seema, Sanjay khanduri Anil Rastogi, Ravindra, Narender Singh and others.
