In order to draw attention of the officials concerned towards the alleged discrimination in execution of development works in the slum areas of the State capital, BJP councillors at Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) met Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) vice chairman R Meenakshi Sundaram here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion BJP councillor, Satish Kashyap said that following the instructions of CM Harish Rawat, sanitation work has been initiated in the slum areas by the MDDA without even informing the councillors of the municipal wards concerned. The councillors stated that the MDDA employees are not aware of the problems and sensitive sites in the slum areas and have started the sanitation work without any consultation with the councillors of the areas concerned.
