The DAV college management has decided to install a new biometric machine for registering attendance of the college staff.
The new machine would be based on the face photo method. The Principal of the College Devendra Bhasin informed that the biometric machine of the college which was destroyed by some students in the recent agitation would be replaced with a new machine. He said that the machine would start operating from January 1. The college management had decided to declare winter vacation for the teaching staff from December 22 to January 5 in wake of the agitation of the students. Bhasin said that to ensure that the examination are not delayed the college administration has decided that after end of examination for back papers on January 7 the examination forms of the students of BA, B.Sc. and B.Com II year and III year would be taken along with admission forms. He advised that these students should keep the admission and examination forms ready. It is worth mentioning here that the students of college are up in arms against the college management on the issue of delay in admissions in the evening classes. Six students had scaled two towers of the city recently on the issue and the agitating students had locked the college entrance.
