In a bid to check crime during Kanwar Mela, disrict administration is planning to start the bio-metric registration of the Kanwarias. For this Trilok Security System India Private limited, which is the service provider of the bio metric registration of Char Dham Yatra, has been asked to do the registration of Kanwarias also.
The district Magistrate of Haridwar D Senthil Pandiyan took a meeting with the company officials on Wednesday where the service provider offered to do the bio-metric registration of Kanwarias free of cost.
The bio-metric registration of the Kanwarias would be optional and name, picture, address and phone number would be used in the registration process. The Kanwarias can register themselves at Narsan, Shyampur and Bhagwanpur. The Kanwar Yatra is starting from July 13 and the bio metric registration would start from July 11. The bio metric registration would be beneficial to both administration and Kanwarias. The meeting was attended by trainee IAS officer Mayur Dikshit, SDM HS Rawat, Project Officer URDA, A K Sharma and Regional head of Trilok Security System India Private limited M Sriniwas.
