Haridwar police arrested Sunny Singh alias Om, native of (Gaya) Bihar who had demanded `1 lakh from Swami Sachchidanad Goswami of Kabir Ashram while posing as a CBI officer. He had demanded the sum to purportedly exempt Goswami from an arrest warrant. Police said that Sunny had identified himself to Goswami as CBI officer Prem Singh Rathore. Goswami consulted his advocate first and then informed the police about the same. It should be mentioned here that a case against Goswami is pending before the CBI court in Baliya, Uttar Pradesh and a warrant had been issued against him as he did not appear in the court recently.
