A 30-year old senior engineer of the Bharat Heavy Electricals limited (BHEl) Haridwar unit went missing on Thursday morning. The city police found his motor bike on the bank of Ganga canal near Prem Nagar ashram bridge. Police are trying to locate the engineer. Prima facie some personal problem or tiff amongst the family seems to be the cause, suspect the police.
Speaking to The Pioneer, SHO Ranipur police station Yogendra Singh said, “Uday Kumar, 30 years is a senior engineer in BHEl and lived in Sector-2, BHEl township with his family. He left his home around 7 am on bike for the duty without giving any information. When he did not return then his relatives informed the police. After some time his bike was located at the bank of Ganga canal but we have not been able to locate Uday so far.
The hunt is on and the relatives are being probed. His mobile phone was  put on surveillance. We are trying our best to find him. It is not a case of kidnapping but may be some personal reason.”
