Anand Singh Rawat slammed Ajay Bhatt, leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, for stating that nine out of 13 districts of the State are being run by the promoted IAS officers. “Bhatt has no right to raise eyebrows on the matter. They are all natives of Uttarakhand. The State was formed after many sacrificed a lot, dreaming the dream of a separate State for the people being run by the natives.
The State Government is absolutely justified in providing the natives with important positions in the administration.” he said. “It is doubtful whether Bhatt would have been able to become the health minister or the leader of the Opposition had not Uttarakhand carved out of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
