Now, the renowned Baba is all set to set his feet in the field of football and that too as a captain. The first match with Ramdev as the skipper would be held in Delhi soon.
Aiming to kindle the spirit of sports amongst the youths of the country, Ramdev would soon launch football league match with teams comprising politicians, Bollywood stars and of course, Patanjali Yog Peeth.
In an exclusive chat with The Pioneer, Baba Ramdev said, “Very soon we would have a football tournament aiming to enhance the people’s respect towards
sports. This is meant, especially for the youths, who have mostly taken to indoor lifestyle. One team would be of the young politicians, another of film stars and third would be of Patanjali Yog Peeth.”
When asked if the saffron clad Baba will himself descend on the football field, he nodded, saying he would be the captain of the team representing the organisation he is leading.
Notably, hailing from Haryana, Baba Ramdev is an adept in the Indian traditional martial arts that gives kicks and punches.
