Senior Superintendent of Police Pauri Jagat Ram Joshi advised the newly recruited women constables to take particular care of the children, women and elderly people while conducting their duties.
A meeting was held at the Police line on Thursday to allot their respective police stations. Notably, 63 women would take up duty as constables after their training concluded at different recruit training centers across Pauri district. Now, they would undergo general training for six months in different police stations in the district where they are deployed.
Joshi asked the newly recruits to act responsibly and humbly as they have now become part of Uttarakhand police. “They must act with extreme sensitivity while dealing with the children, the women and the elderly. Once they join duty they must learn the nuances of the several important things like Indian Penal Code and CrPc. Besides, they must jot down what they learn during the training period daily as part of the learning exercise,” he said.
