Three days long an international conference on radiation biology 2014, which is being organised by INMAS (institute of nuclear medicine and allied sciences), DRDO and ISRB (Indian society for radiation biology), inaugurated by Maj Gen Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri, chairperson of Parliamenatry Standing committee on Defence at AP Shinde Auditorium, NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi.
In which 400 participants came from all over the world.It comprised international / national scientists, researchers, and students. In his address Gen Khanduri said that young scientists should come forward towards development and betterment of society. Also he emphasised on safety and precautions to be taken in nuclear and radiation technology. He also released a souvenir on this occasion.
Gen Khanduri also felicitated many distinguished international and Indian scientists for excellent work in field of radiation. Other dignitaries including Dr PK Tripathi Director INMAS, Dr Manas K Mandal, director general, life sciences DRDO were present there.
