The Delhi Government has appointed Doon resident and prominent Ayurveda practitioner and Padmashree recipient Balendu Prakash on the advisory committee on Ayurveda, Yunanai and Tibetian College as an expert on Ayurveda.
The committee was constituted by the Health and Family welfare ministry of Delhi government to develop the infrastructure, modernisation of courses and research of the College. The committee is also empowered to start new courses and train teachers. Prakash is a resident of Turner road in Clement town area of Dehradun and recognised for his works in the field of cancer, multiple sclerosis, migraine and chronic pancreatitis. He was associated with former President R K Narayanan as his personal Vaidya.
