In order to conduct the student union elections in the Government PG College, Bageshwar, peacefully on November 5, Section 144 has been imposed in the 200 meter radius of the aforesaid PG College campus in Bageshwar, as the officials concerned of the Bageshwar district administration said.
In view of the possibility of the polling for different posts of the student body getting disrupted by the anti-social elements, Section 144 has been imposed in the 200 meter radius of the Government P G College campus, Bageshwar, said Fincha Ram Chauhan, SDM, Bageshwar.
With the imposition of the Section 144 in the 200 meter radius of the Government P G College campus, Bageshwar, no one will be allowed to carry firearms, edged weapons, explosive materials, to name a few things, in the 200 meter jurisdiction of the college campus, Bageshwar, added Chauhan. More so, five persons or more will not be allowed to assemble in the 200 meter radius of the Government P G College campus, further said the officials concerned of the Bageshwar district administration.
More so, procession, public speech, sloganeering and the like which might disrupt the smooth conduct of the poll process, would not be allowed in the 200 meter jurisdiction of the college campus, added the Bageshwar district administration officials. Section 144 will remain into force till completion of the student body elections, added the officials.
