In view of the upcoming panchayat elections, the Bageshwar district administration has banned all kinds of leave of the officials concerned. More so, no official will leave the station without seeking prior approval, said B S Manral, District Election Officer (DEO), Bageshwar. In case the officials concerned are found absent from their respective areas, necessary actions will be taken against such officials, asserted the DEO.
It is to note that keeping in view requirement of the manpower for the preparations of the upcoming panchayat polls, the Bageshwar district administration has already decided to close the primary or basic education schools in the district for summer vacation from June 1. Schools are normally closed from May 25.
