Meanwhile the All Uttarakhand Parents Association (AUPA) has strongly objected to the observance of Black Day by the private schools.

The president of the AUPA, Neeraj Singhal said that the private school operators are openly defying the rules of regulation of the Union and State Government. He said that the recent Supreme Court ruling for safety of students in the schools should be strictly implemented. Singhal strongly advocated for setting up the Private Schools Regulatory Authority to rein in the hegemony of these private schools which at present are functioning in a dictatorial manner.
