Blaming the Principal of Raja Ram Mohan Rai Academy in Clement town of brusque behaviour and mental torture of the students, the All Uttarakhand Parents Association has lodged complaints to the Governor, Chief Minister, Education Minister, Union and State commission for protection of child rights and Uttarakhand State human rights commission.
The President of the association, Neeraj Singhal said that the new Principal of the college has made a dubious reputation of inviting controversy ever since she took charge. In the latest episode, he said that the students of senior section have come out in open against the atrocities of the Principal.
Many students have submitted written complaints in which they have narrated the incidences of mental and physical torture meted to them by the Principal. Singhal added that immediately after assuming charge, the Principal increased the fees in violation of the agreement reached between the association and former Principal that the fees would be increased in alternate years only.
In another incident the Principal protected one of a teacher who was accused of ridiculing a primary student. The parents of the student took the mater to the Uttarakhand state commission for protection of child rights.
In the letter the association has demanded strict action against the Principal for brazenly involving in physical and mental torture. The association has also attached letters of the students in which they have narrated their harrowing experiences.
