Blaming the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Dehradun for violating the understanding reached with the city bus operators the association of city buses of Dehradun has threatened to go on a strike.
The President of the association of city buses, Vijay Vardhan Dandariyal said that the city bus operators took back their strike in the month of July after assurance from the transport department officials that action would be initiated against illegal Vikram operators. He said that the data suggests that very little action has been taken against the Vikrams which are illegally plying in the city.
Dandariyal said that a delegation of the association would meet Transport Secretary D Senthil Pandian and demand action on the RTO of Dehradun. He said that the bus operators would have no alternative but to go on an indefinite strike if the issue is not resolved soon.
