In a bid to conduct the bypoll for the Someshwar Assembly constituency (reserved) in a free, fair and smooth manner next month, the District Election Office, Almora, claims to have appointed officers in charge and assistant officers in charge to look after the by-poll process.
In this process, Chief Education Officer, Almora, A K Jukariya, has been appointed as officer-in- charge, polling personnel, while District Information Science Officer, Rajesh Tiwari has been appointed as Assistant Officer in charge , polling personnel, informed officials concerned of the district election office, Almora.
Simailarly, S P Baini, District Panchayat Raj Officer and Pradeep Kumar, Assistant Director, silk department, Almora, have been respectively appointed as Officer in charge and Assistant Officer in charge, EVM distribution, added the officials concerned of the District Election Office, Almora.
In the meantime, T N Upadhyay, District Supply Officer, Almora has been appointed as Officer in charge, vehicles for by polls, while Anita Chand, Regional Transport Officer , Almora, will work as Assistant Officer in charge, vehicles, during the Someshwar by polls, maintained the officials concerned of the district election office, Almora.
At the same time, V S Jantwal, Senior Treasury Officer, Almora, has been appointed as Officer in charge, election expenditure, while B D Palariya, District Account Examination Officer, Almora, has been appointed as Assistant Officer in charge, election expenditure.
In the meantime J C Kandpal, Executive Director, revenue, Almora, has been appointed as Officer in charge, law and order, while N S Jeena, Tehsildar, Someshwar, will work as Assistant Officer in charge, law and order during the Someshwar by election, added the officials concerned of the district election office, Almora.
In this process S D Pandey, District Information Officer, Almora, has been appointed as media/ publicity, while Gaurav Pant, Entertainment tax inspector, has been appointed as Assistant Officer in charge, media and publicity, added the officials concerned.
Besides, polling personnel have also been appointed to deal with various other by poll related works, further said the officials concerned of the district election office, Almora, directing the newly appointed polling officials to complete poll related works on time so that the upcoming by poll process could be completed in a smooth and peaceful manner.
