A 45–year old Akshay Kumar Shukla, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) from Intelligence Bureau (IB), Yamuna Nagar who was deputed in Haridwar for Ardh Kumbh Mela died due to heart attack at 1.30 pm on Thursday.
Shukla who was resident of Vivek Vihar, Jwalapur, Haridwar was admitted in Panttadhi Mela Hospital, Haridwar after he had chest pain. Family members staged protest, alleging that the medical negligence on the part of the on-duty doctor had caused the death. Police officers expressed grief over untimely death of ASI Shukla.
