Ashes of the wife of legendary actor Raj Kapoor Krishna Raj Kapoor were immersed here in Ganga according to the Hindu customs on Friday. Kapoor family matriarch had passed away due to cardiac arrest on October 1.
The ashes were immersed at VIP Ghat here in the presence of some members of the Kapoor family, including her eldest son Randhir Kapoor. Speaking to the media persons, Randhir Kapoor said that his family had a long relation with the holy city and Ganga. “This is the right place to immerse the ashes of our beloved mother. We have prayed to the Mother Ganga for the peace of her soul.”
