A group of 16 students from Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh visited the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA) on Friday.
During the visit, the National Integration Tour ( NIT) comprising the students and four teachers inquired about the institution and held interaction with IMA Commandant Lieutenant General SK Jha.
A communique from IMA said that the visit of the students was a part of the Indian Army’s outgoing initiative to foster the spirit of National Integration across the country under ‘OP SAMARITAN’.
“This visit to the Academy provided a unique opportunity to these children hailing from one of the remotest corners of our country to get motivated to join the army.
The interaction with the Commandant of the prestigious institute and his inspiring words to them would go a long way in instilling pride and nationalism among the youngsters,’’ the communiqué reads.
