The Art of living, Uttarakhand chapter organised a free eye checking and blood sugar testing camp on the occasion of World Health Day. The camp was held on Sunday with retina screening for diabetes and hypertension done by doctors of Drishti Eye Center and blood sugar tests done by pathologists of Ahuja Pathology.
Around 100 people, mostly from economically weaker section of the society attended the free medical camp. They were first counselled by AOl volunteers in detail about diabetes and its prevention. Thereafter, blood pressure checking, eye testing and blood sugar testing was done for each person. Those who required further treatment/guidance were given detailed medical advice on the spot.AOl teacher Alka Gulati said that this was the third such initiative on World Health Day. Similar programme will be organised in Haldwani on April 14.
