Although the Army's Northern Command has issued a global tender for procuring latest snow mobiles which will ensure better mobility for jawans and intensified patrolling in the snow-bound areas of ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, veteran top brass said that the renovation, maintenance and upgradation of equipment and weapons should be done intensively for keeping a tap on cross-border terrorism.

Various cases of infringement of ceasefire along the international boundaries were reported in the last few months, which is surely a cause of concern for the security forces.

The only depredation of the slower RMU (Renovation, Modernisation and Upgradation) is that several cases of infiltration will keep rising in the near future also.
