A recruitment rally of Soldier General Duty (Sol GD), Soldier Clerk (Sol Clk), Soldier Tradesman (Sol Tdn) and Musician will be held from 1 to 3 April 2016 under Unit HQ Quota (UHQ) at Kumaon Regimental Centre (KRC), Ranikhet.
The rally of all categories will be for sons of War Widows, son of Servicemen, Ex-Servicemen, and Battle Casualty including legally adopted sons of Kumaon and Naga Regiment’s Personnel, real brother of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen/Battle casualty, Son/Real Brother of Servicemen/Ex-servicemen/Battle casualty including legally adopted sons of other Regiments and Outstanding Sportsmen.
The Recruitment Rally will be conducted date wise as - For Sol GD for the Kumaoni and Gorkha aspirants of Uttrakhand (relation candidates) – on April 1. Recruitment for Ahir, Rajput, Gorkha and Naga aspirants of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and North East States (only relations candidates) and for GD (Sportsman) open category for all castes and all States will be held on April 2.
Recruitment of Sol Clk for the aspirants for all castes and all states (only for Kumaon Regiment Relation Candidates), Recruitment of Sol Tdn for the aspirants for all castes and all States (only for relation candidates) and for Musician for the aspirants of all castes, all States open category will be on April 3.
On April 4 Sports aptitude test and Medical Examination on Apr 11, while the written Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for all categories of candidates will be held on may 29.
Candidates are required to bring the original documents - (a) Original Education Certificate and Mark Sheet from any recognized University/School. (b) Domicile certificate and Caste Certificate signed by District Magistrate/Sub Divisional Magistrate/Tehsildar. (c) Character Certificate signed by Gram Pradhan or School Principal (Not more than six months on date of recruitment rally). (d) NCC/Computer/Sports Certificates if any (e) Relationship Certificate from Record Office. (f) 15 Nos good quality of passport size coloured photographs (without attestation). (g) Affidavit for unmarried candidates from District Magistrate/unmarried certificate duly signed by the local registrar or authority involved in the registration of marriage for Sol GD candidates only. (h) Discharge book/Pension book of dependent, Aadhar Card and PAN Card. All candidates to report at the rally site at 5:30 am for initial screening.
Education qualification of Sol GD (Kumaoni & Naga) is 10th class simple pass while Sol GD (Others) is 10th class pass with 45% marks and at least 33% of marks in each subject. Candidate having higher qualification ie BA/B.Sc/B.Com need not to have this stipulated 45% marks in Class-10th. Education qualification of Sol GD (Schedule Tribe from all states of India) is 8th class pass.
For Sol Tdn – 10th simple pass while 8th pass for House Keeper and Mess Keeper trades only. For Sol Clk – Class 12th pass with minimum 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate.
