The Indian Army is ready to meet all challenges posed by the terrorists and their supporters sitting across the border, said the Deputy Chief of Army Staff, lieutenant General NPS Hira while talking to newsmen after the Passing-Out Parade (POP) at Indian Military Academy (IMA) here on Saturday.
He said that after the surgical strikes the strategy of the terrorists and their perpetrators is to strike on the soft civilian and other targets in the country but the army is completely ready and knows how to tackle them effectively and neutralize them completely. On a cautious note, the deputy Chief of army said that the modern warfare is continuously evolving and it is imperative that we should also upgrade accordingly.
He listed cyber war and warfare from space as such strategies. In response to a question, lt Gen Hira said that the demonetisation move would affect those abetting terrorism as it is an open fact that the fake currency notes are used by these organisation in our country to perpetuate terror.
