Arihant Décor Industries would set up an industry in Bhagwanpur, Haridwar, at a cost of Rs 115 crores. The venture is expected to provide direct employment to about 100 people. Similarly a Five Star hotel would be set up by the Himalayan Retreat India IlP at a cost of Rs 129 crores in the state. The hotel will provide employment opportunities to 461 persons. The proposals of these mega ventures were placed before the state authorisation committee for investment under single window system on Tuesday.
Chairing the meeting of the committee on Tuesday, the Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh directed the officials that both these proposals should be granted approval within a week’s time. He categorically told the officials that on the matters of capital investment, no laxity would be tolerated.
The meeting was also attended by the Principal Secretary, Industries, Manisha Pawar besides other officers.
