In view of the upcoming Winter Session of Vidhan Sabha slated to begin from November 24, the Chief Secretary N Ravishankar has instructed the Principal Secretary and the Secretary and the Secretary in-charge to appoint nodal officers of their departments for the session.
Shankar also instructed them to keep update of the proposed questions, incidents and references so that the Ministers could be provided answers if the situation warrants.
“You keep collecting updates of the latest incidents and tentative issues. Be vigilant during the session so that the Minister should not face awkward situations,” said Shankar. During the session, the Principal Secretary, the Secretary and the officers have been instructed to keep their mobile phones and fax machines on. Even District Magistrates and the Commissioners were instructed to be present in their respective offices so that they can be contacted at the earliest.
Shankar appointed the officers for pre and post- lunch sessions. On November 24, the Principal Secretary Dr Ranbir Singh would be present inmorning and Principal Secretary MH Khan during the evening.
On November 25, the Principal secretary Dr Radha Raturi and the Secretary Vinod Fonia; on November 26, the Secretary Bhaskaranand and RK Sudhanshu. On November 27, the Secretary Amit Singh Negi and MC Joshi; on November 28 Secretary PS Jangpangi and DS Garbyal will be present in the officers’ gallery.
