After launching a scathing attack on the Congress-led State Government for not taking effective measures for redressing the grievances faced by disaster-hit victims, former Uttarakhand BJP chief Bachi Singh Rawat completely ruled out any rift in the party. He claimed that he has also pulled up his socks for campaigning in all five parliamentary seats across the State as the party high command redressed his grievance.
While speaking to mediapersons for the first time at the Dehradun-based State party office on Tuesday after tendering his resignation from all party posts, Rawat said that he along with his supporters will execute series of rallies and campaigning in all five parliamentary seats in order to secure victory for all five party candidates. "I am bound to do whatever BJP State Chief or my seniors instruct me," he stressed, adding that members of the Central parliamentary panel had series of discussions on my name, but former chief minister BS Koshyari was found winning and suitable candidate for Nainital parliamentary seat; hence fielded by the party high command.
After cornering the Congress-led State Government for becoming insensitive for not redressing the grievances being faced by the disaster hit victims in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of the state, Rawat has alleged that dozens of projects and schemes are running behind schedule and causing huge inconvenience to those villagers who are living in the higher parts of the State.
He claimed that that entire nation is under the whirlwind of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and claimed that BJP-led NDA will comeback at the Centre to form the Government. He lamented that the Congress-led State Government is yet to sanction funds from CRF (Central Road Fund) which was formed during former BJP chief minister Maj Gen (Retd) BC Khanduri regime in the State for speedy repairing of damaged roads in the mountainous parts of the state and further alleged that the condition of road, connecting routes, potable water, education and medical system in the mountainous parts of is worst. According to him, the change of leadership in the State would not prove beneficial for the State as Congress lacks vision for development.
Infuriated at his name not figuring in the list of probable candidates for Nainital parliamentary seat, senior BJP leader and former Union minister Bachi Singh Rawat has resigned from all party posts in the last month. BJP State chief Tirath Singh Rawat, State spokesman Umesh Agarwal, BJYM state chief Saurabh Thapliyal, Media co-incharge Abhimanyu Kumar, state chief (IT Cell) Rajeev Talwar and others were also present.
