Philanthropic service being a special feature of the Durga Puja, the organisers of the puja held at Durga Bari on Cantt Road in Dehradun donated an ambulance to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital to mark the 61st year of the puja.
The president of the puja committee Debasis Chakraborty said that they were thrilled having lent a little help to the needy in the form of donating the ambulance.
“Puja is mainly devotion and revelry. However, it means more. It means lending help to those in need. We are exulted having played our little part in the service of the society at large. It is a humble beginning. We hope to do more in the coming years,” he said.
