Rebutting allegations levelled by the PCC chief, the Bharatiya Janata Party opined that the allegations were a sign of frustration of the state head of a defeated party. The public had once again rejected the Congress in the urban local body elections due to which the party is baffled.
Reacting to the allegations levelled by the PCC chief, the BJP State media in-charge Devendra Bhasin said that these are nothing more than bafflement the Congress is experiencing.
Ten days after the poll results were announced, the PCC chief now thinks of alleging that BJP tampered with the counting of votes. Ballot papers were used in these polls but if EVMs had been used, the Congress would have alleged problems in the machines. On the one hand, Congress is counting the victorious independent candidates to claim highest number of victorious candidates while on the other hand it is accusing the BJP of tampering. Bhasin stressed that in fact the BJP had achieved a resounding victory as the people had approved the policies of the BJP governments at the Centre and State.
The Congress is hit by internal bickering which is also one of the reasons for its leaders levelling odd allegations at the BJP.
Further, by opposing the chief minister’s decision to open a camp office in Nainital, the Congress has once again exposed its anti-public mentality.
This development will be very convenient for the people of Kumaon region and is a sign of the Chief Minister’s focus on good governance and decentralisation of power, added Bhasin.
