Secretary Disaster Management Amit Negi informed that the State Government and other agencies are taking all possible steps to check the forest fire. DMs have been instructed that all action must be taken in the conformity with the guideline of NDMA along with all officials regarding disaster must be functionalised according to Incident Response System (IRS). All proceedings and feedback to be conveyed to the state emergency operation center (SERC).
The Executive Director Disaster Mitigation and Management Center Piyush Rautela informed that a letter has been sent to National Remote Sensing Center and expected that all information obtained by the satellite about the areas affected by the fire to be made available to the state emergency operations center, Dehradun through fax and telephone.
Forest fire is being taken very seriously by the administration. All DMs are directed to take all possible steps to control forest fire in the State.
