All leave of DMC staff cancelled till MCI visit

The staff of the Doon Medical College (DMC) and the associated hospital is at its wits end due to the delay in arrival of the MCI team for re-inspection. The authorities of DMC have imposed a complete moratorium on the leaves of the staff members till the MCI completes its inspection.

In anticipation of the proposed visit the staff members have to be in a state of constant vigil to make sure that everything is up to the mark in the college and hospital. The exasperated staff members are now hoping that the team visits soon so that an end to their ordeals is brought about.

One of a member of the faculty said, “The MCI first inspected the DMC in the month of January and listed some objection. The college authorities immediately requested for re inspection. In the meantime a ban was imposed on our leaves. I had to go to Delhi for the marriage of my cousin last week but could not due to pending inspection.’’

Another newly appointed Senior Demonstrator in the medical college said that the college authorities have asked us to keep the original documents of our education and profession qualification at such a place from where they can be retrieved within minutes. These documents would be required to submit to the visiting team of MCI for verification.
