The electoral gains of NSUI in the student union elections of SGRR College and DBS College clearly outlines that all is not well in the ABVP camp.
All eyes are now set on the election result of DAV College where the ABVP is on a winning streak for last eight terms.
The infighting in the ABVP this year however has given a new lease of life to the rival NSUI camp this year.
Till last day of the elections the skirmishes and fisticuffs were taking place among top ABVP leaders on the DAV elections.
The internal dissension on the issue of ticket declaration reached such dimension that Senior BJP leader and Mussoorie MlA, Ganesh Joshi had to intervene in the matter.
He brought top leaders of warring factions on a dialogue table on late Wednesday evening and tried to ensure a semblance of unity.
On the other hand the factions of NSUI camp after initial acrimony on the name of Presidential candidate quickly buried the hatchet and campaigned extensively for Mohan Bhandari.
Independent observers are of the view that the DAV elections can throw a surprise this year as its candidate Bhandari has the potential to stop the victory juggernaut of ABVP in the DAV College.
