In a fresh salvo launched on Tuesday, the State Congress chief Kishore Upadhyay alleged that National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had played a major role in toppling of Harish Rawat Government. He said this while addressing the day-long training camp cum workshop Congress organised on Tuesday. He also asked all inimical to the communal forces to unite and participate in the ‘Save Democracy’ march slated on May 6.
Addressing the party workers, former State CM Harish Rawat said, “In the period between 2014-2016, a lot of developmental works was undertaken by the State Government. This was why my Government has been pulled down. Sting CD was part of the conspiracy,” he said. He demanded the culprits be given appropriate punishment in the court of law. He also urged all to participate in the rally slated on May 6.
Kishore Upadhyay further said that the Congress had been unable to take the BJP charges head-on as it had been weak in the sphere of social media. “From now onwards, we would rebut them point by point by using the social media up to the hilt,” he said.
He warned BJP, saying that Congress has chalked out strategy to gherao the BJP leaders. While saying that the NSA had masterminded the operation to pull down the State Government, Upadhyay said that they had incontrovertible evidences of NSA keeping contacts with the rebel party MlAs. Dubbing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one intent on murdering democracy, he said he is on a killing spree in States his party is not in power.
He appreciated the comment made by Supreme Court on the probable floor test in Uttarakhand assembly to decide things finally. “We are sure we would get justice from the Supreme Court,” he added .
