Ajay favours CBI probe

Speaking of the Ruby Choudhary case, Ajay Bhatt, leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, asked the State Government to clear the mystery regarding the role of those who were supposed to have helped the woman to stay in the Academy clandestinely for close to seven months. “The State police have failed to solve the riddle despite two months having elapsed since the matter came into focus. Moreover, Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s refusal to hand over the case to CBI mystifies us all. We are convinced that the Government is intent on finishing it inconclusive,” he said. Bhatt wondered why the State Government had stonewalled CBI inquiry proposal. “CBI inquiry is a must to unravel the mystery. The prestige of an esteemed institution cannot be trifled with. The case must be cracked,” Bhatt said.
