Quizzed over the judicial inquiry ordered by the CM into the disaster relief scam as referred to by PM Modi, Ajay Bhatt said that they still were in favour of the probe being handed over to CBI. “We accept the gauntlet thrown by CM. We are ready to face CBI probe into the strings of scams related to disaster, mining, poly-house, SIIDCUl, excise and the like,” he said. Asked to comment on CM, saying that masterminds of most such scams were presently in the saffron party, Bhatt said that had he been so confident of his innocence why he is scared of a CBI probe. “We do not shield the guilty unlike the Congress,” he averred, adding that the incumbent Congress- led government was punishing the honest officers while rewarding the corrupt ones.
