The academic and other activities in the colleges and universities of the State would be affected on Friday due to the one day work boycott call given by the All India Federation of University and College Teachers Organisation (AIFUCTO).
The State President of the association S K Tyagi told The Pioneer that the demands of the teachers are that the Government should immediately constitute VII Pay review committee and UGC pay scales for all categories of teachers. The association also demands amendments in the PhD regulations.
The DAV College has suspended the process of admissions for a day due to work boycott call of teachers. The HNB Garhwal University too has postponed the B.Ed examination slated for August 07.
