Training his gun on the top Congress brass allegedly involved in the AgustaWestland scam, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said while interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of the stone-laying programme of a War Memorial at Cheedbagh in Dehradun on Saturday, that details about Rs 125 crore being paid to the leaders who used to call shots in the previous UPA dispensation are clear thanks to what has been disclosed in the court of Italy.
Even the court has disclosed names of a few leaders, involved in the scam, he said, adding that the names will be made public after the ongoing probe is over, he said.
"Now, those who controlled things during the UPA regime will have to answer as to who have received the bribe from the company representatives," Parrikar said.
The Defence Minister felicitated five war widows and five soldiers as well. He also read the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which the PM said that Uttarakhand is hailed as the holy land which begets dedicated soldiers who contribute immensely to the national defence. Such war memorial deifies a place as place of pilgrimage, PM said in his message.
Among others who were present were former CM Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, MPs Mala Rajya lakshmi Shah, Ajay Tamta and Tarun Vijay, MlA Ganesh Joshi and State BJP president and MlA Ajay Bhatt.
