Demanding proper, unbiased, transparent and effective investigation in the Pushpa Saklani murder case, dozens of advocates along with OP Saklani, husband of the deceased, protested at collectorate and submitted memorandum addressed to President of India through additional district magistrate Harak Singh Rawat on Tuesday.
Dissatisfied with the progress of investigations in his wife’s murder case, senior advocate and Bar Association, Dehradun ex-president Saklani said that due to political patronisation, CBI has not taken any action against the alleged master mind of the murder case.
Due to negligent attitude of police department and CBI, a year has passed after daylight murder of Pushpa Saklani, but the CBI has yet to make any kind of headway in this case.
“To get justice, I decided to submit memorandum to the president a day head of my wife’s death anniversary,” he added.
He alleged that the case was put on a back burner by both police and CBI officials. The police was active only after the murder. However, they have failed to arrest the mastermind even after a year. CBI’s investigation too has taken a backseat.
Saklani alleged that a man with criminal background, Shamim Alam Khan may have had some issues with him and was involved in the murder. He accused police and CBI of not interrogating Khan. He alleged that the police did not investigate in a scientific manner, due to which the real intention behind the murder remains unknown.
According to him, had the police been more vigilant, two murders of Teg Bahadur Road resident Neeru Saini and Sewla Kalan resident Rajesh Sharma might have been prevented.
