The process of admission in various graduate and post graduate courses in SGRR PG College here has started. The Principal of the college, V K Bourai said that the students can log on the websites of the college, www.sgrrcollege.com and www.sgrrcollege.co.in and download the merit form. The last date to submit the merit form is June 20.
The college would upload the merit list on the websites and paste it on the notice board of the college.
Bourai claimed that the SGRR is the only college of the state which has been accorded ‘A’ grading by the NAAC of Government of India. He added that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has selected the institute for ‘College with potential’ category for second consecutive year. Baurai said that there are only 34 colleges in the country which have been given this status by the UGC.
In Science stream the college has 320 seats in chemistry, 230 in mathematics, 240 each in physics, zoology and Botany and 80 in Geology for undergraduate course. For PG course the college has 25 seats in chemistry, 50 in mathematics and 20 in Physics.
In undergraduate Arts (BA) section the college has 80 seats each in Economics, English literature, political science, sociology, history and Hindi literature while 10 seats are in BA Mathematics. For PG in arts (MA) the college offers 40 seats each in English and Economics while 10 seats are in Mathematics.
