In a reshuffle in the responsibilities of the bureaucrats, the State Government on Wednesday made some important changes. The important position of the secretary Urban Development has been taken away from R K Sudhanshu and handed over to the Shailesh Bagoli. Sudhanshu would continue holding the responsibilities of secretary to the Governor, Information Technology, Ayush and Science and Technology. Shailesh Bagoli would continue to discharge duties of Garhwal Commissioner, Transport Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Smart City apart from the new charge.
In an another important move, the State Government handed over the charge of additional secretary Education, director general (DG) Education, and additional project director (APD), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan to additional secretary, CEO of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and managing director (MD) Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN), Jyoti Yadav. Provincial Civil Services (PCS) officer Rajendra Prasad Yadav has been appointed as additional secretary Home and additional inspector general( Prisons).
