The district administration, Udham Singh Nagar, has decided to strictly deal with those who are illegally running ultrasound centres, asking the officials concerned to submit a detail report in this regard within a week.
Taking a meeting in this regard on Monday, Brijesh Kumar Sant, District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, asked all the SDMs and health officials to submit detail report of ultrasound machines being run in all tehsils and blocks across the district within a week.He also cautioned the officials concerned not to renew the registration of those ultrasound centres which are found running as illegally.
The District Magistrate also stressed on the need for proper verification of the ultrasound machines ,saying the female feticide is a serious offence and strict action must be taken.
