The administration had pressed 1500 policemen, 50 PRD Jawans and 50 home guards into service for the event. Fifty magistrates were also deployed to maintain law and order during the show. The organisers too had deployed dozens of private persons but all these arrangements fizzed out on the ground. To add to the chaos those deployed to maintain order were seen busy attending their relatives and friends and trying to enter them in VIP enclosure. The press enclosure bore the brunt of the mismanagement as hundreds of non press people entered it. These people threatened the press persons who objected their entry. One cameraman was injured when some goons attacked him in the media enclosure after the event. Shockingly some policemen instead of stopping the outsiders manhandled the media persons. The infuriated members of press expressed their displeasure and demanded action against the culprits.
