Activist says political parties are promoting corruption

Published on:

Ex-Chairman of Rajya Andolankari Samman Parishad Ravindra Jugran has alleged that lokayukta office, which has become symbol of corruption eradication, which was brought by both BJP and Congress parties, are now  fighting with each other which itself shows that they are promoting corruption in their office.

To ascertain their claim, Jugran said that since inception of Uttarakhand, 32 employees were appointed in the office so far. In which they did not follow the article 14 and 16 of Indian constitution because they recruited without following official procedure.  For this he has submitted a letter to the chief minister Vijay Bahuguna and sought his attention on this anomaly.

He expressed regret that state government is trying to weed out corruption through lokayukta and now its office itself has become center of corruption.  As we know that we got Uttarakhand after long struggle because we want corruption free Uttarakhand and develop as role model state for others.  He further mentioned that chief minister himself has served the post of justice and served as supreme court lawyer as well so we(people) have lot of expectation from you so he demanded that you should conduct enquiry and make the institution free from corruption.

He also said that to make Uttarakhand free from corruption your government has decided to implement central government passed lokpal in the State.  For this you have called special session of Vidhan Sabha so it is necessary to make the institution free from corruption.
