Senior transport officials made a beeline at ‘durbar’ of Transport Minister Surendra Rakesh to apprise the later of cause of removing the 7 assistant traffic inspectors (ASIs). All top officials from UTC headquarter called on by the minister. Sources said that senior officials of the UTC reached the office of the minister.
They one by one gave the reason to the minister for attaching the 7 ASIs three-day ago with the assistant regional manager’s office after a group of conductors and driver staged demonstration at the ISBT and stopped operation of the buses.
Sources said that Minister asked the officials to act tough against the ASIs after probing the complaints against them.
