Dehradun police are still groping in the dark in search of a 20-year-old factory worker Tinku, native of Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), who had allegedly raped a minor in Sahaspur area on October 3.
A police officer said that a report regarding the alleged rape of the minor was registered on Tuesday. She along with her parents has been living in a rented accommodation in Sahaspur area.
Though it allegedly happened on Saturday the minor’s parents registered the complaint on Tuesday evening and a case under section 376 of IPC and sections ¾ of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was lodged against the accused. The accused fled after he learnt that a case had been registered against him in the police station, police said.
Vikasnagar CO SK Singh said that teams have been formed and deployed at various locations to nab the accused.
