After Ruby’s four–day police remand ended on Saturday, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Ruby Choudhary case will now be focussing on nailing the tainted academy officers, Garhwal Range IG/DIG Sanjay Kumar Gunjyal, who has been monitoring the case, said adding that the team is working on the case from several angles and things will be cleared in two to three days. Police sources said that based on evidences received during Choudhary’s remand, a questionnaire has been prepared and teams are will now be grilling the academy officers.

The SIT members are analysing the evidences seized from Choudhary and those collected from the academy’s campus. The SIT had recovered four hard-disks, CCTV footages and relevant documents and questioned security guards in the Academy. The SIT has not yet arrested Dev Singh, security guard of the academy, which they think will help the team to collect more evidences. It is possible that the team would bring him face-to-face with the academy officials to ascertain the evidences gathered so far.

It should be mentioned here that Chowdhary, who posed as an IAS probationer had stayed in the allocated quarter of private security guard Dev Singh within the campus of lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (lBSNAA), Mussoorie for around seven months. She had alleged that Deputy Director Jain had given her a fake ID card for a hefty sum to facilitate her stay at the academy. Chaudhry alleged she had given him Rs 5 lakh out of Rs 20 lakh Jain had asked her to shell out for a job in the academy’s library. Choudhary is now in Suddhowala jail.
