Alleging that some private schools in the city have hiked admission and tuition fees exorbitantly without taking the parents on board, dozens of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthy Parishad activists staged a demonstration at Collectorate on Saturday.
They shouted slogans against the state government, slamming it for its alleged apathy on the matter. Some BJP local leaders also participated in the protest at Collectorate. The administration has deployed police forces in the campus to maintain law and order there.
ABVP members demanded action against the school authorities which had hiked tuition fees and admission fees without taking the parents into confidence.
In connection with the vandalism case registered against some unidentified ABVP activists under sections 147/148/159/323/504/506 in Dhara Chowki police post by Children’s Academy authority, Kotwali CO Manoj Kumar Katliyal said that teams have been formed and they are investigating the case. Team will soon arrest the accused, he added.
