The Aam Aadami Party (AAP) leader, Anoop Nautiyal has said that the State Government should come out with a white paper on all land allotments in excess of 1 acre by March 31.
In a letter directed to state Chief Minister Harish Rawat, the AAP leader has alleged that there is great resentment among the people of the state on the manner in which the land of the state is being handed over to industrialists and influential people. He said that the process of handing over of land to Jindal group in Nainisar, EMMAR- MGF in smart city, GMR (Old bus stand) and Pokhra evoked suspicion due to lack of transparency. Nautiyal demanded that the state government should come out with a white paper on all land dealing which measure more than 1 acre from January 01, 2015 till December 31. He said that the government should mention the name of industry or person to whom the land is allotted similarly the type, location and purpose of the allotment should also be mentioned by the Government.
