The Aam Aadami Party (AAP) has alleged irregularity in the allotment of tenders in Kosi Feeder project and alleged that the scam was done at the behest of Irrigation minister Yashpal Arya. Addressing a press conference the state in charge of AAP, Vivek Yadav said that the party on its official twitter handle had declared on January 17 itself that one firm ‘S K T Buildcone private limited’ having links with the son of irrigation minister would bag the tender of renovation work of Kosi feeder canal in Ramnagar district. He said that the tender was opened on January 19 and the same firm mentioned by the party got the work. Yadav said that the department should have re floated the tender if only one application is received but in this it was not followed. The AAP leader demanded that the Chief Minister Harish Rawat should order an inquiry on the issue. He said that in last 15 years both the BJP and Congress have openly looted the state. The AAP leader cited the Kumbh scam in the time of BJP Government and disaster relief scam during present Congress Government as such examples. He claimed that the BJP is playing the role of friendly opposition party to the ruling Congress in the State.
